I agree with the review in general terms - however it leaves one important thing out - as long as you can get online when you are planning your travel [incl. by mobile phone/ remote dialup etc.] then why bother with this inefficient software - just visit any of the train timetable/ planeer websites - RailTrack's own http://www.rail.co.uk/ukrail/planner/planner.htm is now easier to use and pretty good, but I still prefer the detail and intelligent options available on the DB [yes - Deutche Bahn - they have train planning for several countries, including UK!!] excellent website [in English]:
