15-inch LCD monitor (13/09/2000)
This is a straightforward monitor without any special add-ons, and is designed as a direct replacement for a desktop CRT monitor. No additional drivers are needed to install it under Windows 98, as it is recognised and installed as a Plug-and-Play unit, making it a simple monitor to set up.
It uses an automatic set up routine to adjust to your lighting conditions. We used this but had to make minor adjustments to the OSD as the image was slightly cold - it's a very personal thing. Once set up we were very impressed by the overall image quality, equal to many of the more expensive displays.
This monitor has a 'Worldwide' power supply. It will work on any voltage from 85-265 Volts AC at both 50 and 60 Hertz. This sort of technology goes some way to simplifying manufacturing procedures and getting the price down. Hansol has recently dropped the price of this monitor, so if you're thinking of buying one, then shop around, you may be pleasantly surprised.
Once set up, this is a very usable monitor with one of best images we've seen, especially at the lower end of the price range. Other models are available in the range to give multimedia facilities, but as a direct monitor swap out this is to be recommended.
