Epson has announced that it will be adding a new high-specification printer to its popular AcuLaser business printer range. The AcuLaser M4000 series is capable of delivering up to 43 pages per minute, even at full 1,200dpi resolution, with a first page out time of 8 seconds.
As Epson's highest specification mono laser printer, the AL-M4000 delivers optimum time efficiency for businesses, combined with heavy-duty printing up to 200,000 pages per month.
Alongside the standard model there is an M4000DN duplex version and the M4000DTN, also a duplex version but incorporating an additional paper cassette. The addition of a second paper tray increases capacity from the standard 700 sheets (550 sheets in the main tray and a 150-sheet MP tray) to 1,800 sheets. All models of the AL-M4000 series also support an optional document stacker to sort and separate different jobs.
Other additional features include space for RAM expansion, from the standard 64MB to 576MB, and the secure EpsonNet Authentication Print system which uses a swipe card before print-outs are released. The street prices are expected to start from £590 + VAT.
