Horse racing fans should keep an eye out for the release of Starters Orders 3, a racing management simulation due out in the Spring.
Starters Orders 3 will feature a season that covers the British, American and Australian racing calendars. For the first time in the franchise, famous National Hunt races will be included, such as the Grand National and Cheltenham Gold Cup. The graphics, interface and race commentary have all been overhauled since the previous version of the game.
The player will not only be able to own, breed and train horses, but also bet on and actually ride them (the chaos of the Grand National should definitely be interesting)! The races will be tactically accurate, apparently, with realistic jumping, blocking and even disqualifications (so easy on those horse steroids).
And if computer controlled trainers aren't enough to pit your wits against, Starters Orders is also set to feature human opposition in online leagues.
Starters Orders 3 should be available for download in April priced £24.99. A free demo is also promised.
