Paradox Interactive has just unveiled plans to release another game in the first-person stealth and horror series Penumbra.
Penumbra: Requiem will be the final instalment, developed by the same team that produced the previous efforts, Frictional Games. Requiem will feature familiar characters from the protagonist's past, and a storyline which seeks to tie up various unanswered questions about the series that players may have.
The recently reviewed Penumbra: Black Plague certainly had its surreal moments, but it sounds like they're really going to town with this side of the experience in Requiem. Apparently knowing what's real and what's unreal will be a tricky task, and you'll only survive if you can learn not to rely on your senses...
Penumbra: Requiem is a PC game and the release date is yet to be confirmed. It'll only be available to download via GamersGate (where, incidentally, you can also pick up Penumbra: Black Plague; see the URL below).
