The latest product promising to give peace of mind to parents whose offspring are busying themselves on the Internet comes direct from the States. Sentry Parental Controls boasts that it can alert parents to any inappropriate online activity, and has the kind of features you'd expect.
So it can block sites it considers unsuitable, control the amount of time people are allowed to go online for, and monitor online activity.
Furthermore, should a user land on a page that the software considers not appropriate, then it can send a text message or e-mail alerting the parent, replete with a screenshot of the page in question.
The software itself costs £49.99, which then gives you the licence to install it on three machine. We suspect it's a twelve month licence, but you can check it out for 15 days anyway free of charge.
