Security specialist Bullguard is putting together a special product, very much with the gaming fraternity in mind. The clue is in the title - Bullguard Internet Security Gamer's Edition - and the idea behind the product is to come up with effective security for a PC, without getting in the way of a good online game.
It'll do this by, when a game is activated, heading into its databanks and loading up a specific security profile, in much the same way that last year's Steel Security product did (and Bullguard is again collaborating with Steel Series on this new firewall-type product). It'll also make sure that the computer in question is safe when the games are closed down.
A formal release date and pricing information are still to be confirmed, but there is a beta test open. Those wanting to join in should head to www.bullguard.com/why/bullguard-gamers-edition.aspx.
