Sennheiser has announced the imminent launch of the PC 350, a new high-end set of headphones aimed squarely at gamers.
The PC 350 boasts large over-the-ear headphone cups, with extra padding that's designed to help them remain comfortable during prolonged gaming sessions. Sennheiser claims they'll "shut out disturbing noises from the environment" (like your wife calling you down for tea when you're about to score a flag capture). The headset also has a chunky microphone attachment for barking orders at your team-mates.
Sound wise, Sennheiser also reckon these headphones are something special as they're equipped with the company's Duofol Diaphragm technology and adaptive baffle damping, both of which help to deliver a cleaner sound. Apparently the headset's frequency response is optimised to provide superior spatial sonics, placing sounds accurately in three dimensions (a definite boon for first-person shooter fans).
The catch is you'll pay a premium price for all this technology, as the PC 350 will retail at £149.99.
