Soul Bubbles is the name of a puzzle game Eidos has just unveiled for the Nintendo DS. Brand Manager Ray Livingston reckons that "this will be the new phenomenon on the Nintendo DS. Every single person who has picked up this game has fallen in love with it instantly. We can't wait to introduce the world to Soul Bubbles."
The basic idea is that the player is a shaman who has to protect lost souls from various hazards by drawing bubbles around them. The puzzle bit comes in the form of manipulating the bubbles by deflating or joining them, and slightly more involved tricks such as filling them with water and bursting them over a fire to extinguish the flames. Forty levels are planned in total, spread across eight worlds.
No release date has yet been confirmed for Soul Bubbles, so keep your eyes peeled on the Eidos Web site for further details.
