The latest of the many surveys that seem to infest the world of IT has come up with the staggering revelation that our youngsters are becoming addicted to social networking sites.
Not content with the fact that these same youngsters communicate incessantly by mobile phone, and - er - see each other most of the time, Global Secure Systems has now revealed that 52 percent of pupils aged between 13 and 17 had looked at Facebook during a lesson.
Furthermore, more than a quarter of the surveyed students admitted to spending more than half an hour on the site a day. Global Secure Systems has, incidentally, blocked its own employees from accessing the service at work, meaning its firm is surely less attractive for, oooh, about 52 percent of schoolkids right now.
