Sierra has announced its intention to release a version of Lost Cities for the Xbox 360 console via Live Arcade. If you've not heard of Lost Cities, it's an award-winning two-player card game which was released back in 1999.
The basic idea is that you mount expeditions to various long forgotten settlements, with points scored based on how successful these endeavours turn out to be. It plays a little like rummy, with the player having to make some really tough decisions about which cards to keep and which to throw away (often the discards will be just what your opponent is looking for).
Presumably the Live Arcade success story of another famous card game, Uno, has inspired Sierra to try its hand at the genre. Lost Cities should be available sometime this spring, for the princely sum of 800 Microsoft points.
