Canon's optical engineers have solved a tough problem with the Digital IXUS 970: how to pack more zoom power into a body without sacrificing that unique Digital IXUS style?
Digital IXUS cameras are known for their innovative design and the 10-megapixel Digital IXUS 970 IS combines its sleek looks with an extra pinch of imaging power. Its 5x optical zoom and enhanced optical Image Stabilizer (IS) make it the most optically powerful Digital IXUS ever, resulting in a wider range of framing possibilities, great results in low-light, and shake-free zoom shots.
It's all thanks to a brand new four-group lens configuration, which maintains the traditional Digital IXUS responsiveness, quick zooming and straight optical path for the best possible image quality. A key factor in the design of the lens is the inclusion of Canon's UA lens elements which correct aberrations.
The Digital IXUS 970 IS will be available from early April 2008, priced at £299 / €449 RRP inc. VAT.
